Ultrasound Skills Training

This week we’re focusing on our ultrasound sites in the community health clinics and we started with Zimmi in the Pujehun District.

What was so wonderful to see, in addition to Annie’s consistent and solid ultrasound skills, was the respect she treated her patients with. She took the time to explain the process before she did anything, get consent, thoroughly explain her findings and ask if there were any questions. You could tell there was a comfort and mutual respect between them that we hope to see more and more.

It’s part of the foundation of Tenki for Born - appreciating women (and children), their value and what they bring to the community cannot be overstated and should not be understated. The facilities we sponsor know that we take respectful maternal care to heart and it’s in with the country-wide efforts as well.

It just warms the heart to see it in action. Thank you Annie.
