OB Ultrasound Training in Gbondapi

Today we visited Gbondapi, which is about 45min away from the nearest hospital on an unpaved road.

Here Ibrahim, a CHO, is one of the primary scanners because their midwife couldn’t attend our training in January.

We refreshed on the proper presets prior to scanning and how to complete documentation and upload scans. We were happy to see that they have consented and scanned 27 patients over the past 4 months!

They have also done referrals for twin pregnancies and while we there he measured a fetus that was small for the reported gestational age (measuring 31wks tho the pregnancy is reported at term).

Now they will be prepared for any potential neonatal complications due to low birthweight if the woman delivers soon.

Safer deliveries for moms and babies.
